The culinary arts will continue to have some of the largest numbers of employment within the workforce, with approximately 350,000 new jobs being created over the next 8 years. Many of these will be part-time and entry-level positions. Precise growth varies greatly per specific job category. For example, slower growth will take place in upscale restaurants, since many companies are curbing expense accounts.
