CareerBliss recently conducted a survey in order to show which industries will be best suited for new college graduates. The information is based on which companies are hiring, the average salary and the fields in which individuals say that they are the happiest working in.

This year, the top-rated job is software engineer, according to the survey. Individuals who hold this title said that their average happiness with their career is 7.87 out of 10. These professionals also see high salaries, with the average earnings being $71,916 annually.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that individuals who want to hold the job title typically need at least bachelor's degrees as well as computer system and technology skills.

Another high-ranking job is sales representative, according to the survey. These professionals rank their happiness at 7.79 and typically earn about $47,629 per year.

While there are usually no higher education requirements for individuals who wish to become sales representatives, the BLS states that job opportunities tend to be better for those who have college degrees.

Other jobs that were rated positively include business analyst, sales manager, product manager, financial analyst and physical therapist.
