Florida Tech Ranks High on New Online Education Rankings
Florida Tech has celebrated their recent online success with their degree programs. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked online education for the first time ever and gave Florida Tech a favorable spot amongst top online programs. The new rankings came in response to the amazing growth of online education in the past year thanks to Internet technology. U.S. News initiated the report to allow students to have more information about the different online programs and schools, setting an academic standard for online programs over campus-based programs.
The highest distinction in the rankings is the U.S. News honor roll which recognizes programs scoring within the top one-third in three categories, including faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and teaching practices. Florida Tech has full online bachelor degree programs and was one of only four to earn the honor of making the list. The university's graduate business programs were also just one of 14 to make the list as well.
Florida Tech has been powered by the technologies of University Alliance, which created interactive online programs that allowed students to experience the maximum engagement through simulated environments, streaming videos, live webinars and many other unique interfaces. The university offers 36 degrees online that span a variety of subjects, including liberal arts, technology, marketing, computer technology, criminal justice, applied psychology, project management and healthcare management.
"Our goal has always been to provide online students with the same quality education our main campus students receive," says Dr. Mary S. Bonhomme, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, Online Learning. "These rankings are validation of that, and we're thrilled to be recognized for our commitment to online excellence."
