What is the Admission Procedure for Online MCA

MCA admission process in India is very straightforward. Most Indian colleges have a dedicated website for their online programs. These websites offer step-by-step guidance for students to enroll in their chosen programs. The process includes a simple procedure where students will be guided at every step of the way by our qualified admission counselors. 

  • The first step is to register on the college website and pay the registration fees. At the time of registering, students will be asked to provide their phone number and email address which will be verified by the college.
  • Once email and phone number verification is complete, the second step is to upload all the documents required by the college. These include 10th grade, 12th grade and college marksheets/transcripts and work experience documents, if any. Also to be uploaded are ID and address proofs like Aadhar, PAN, driver’s license, specimen signature and a passport-size photo.
  • The college will verify these documents, and students will be notified once it is done. After verification is approved, students will be able to pay their program fees online, through the university payment portal.
  • Very few universities may have a personal interview of the candidate before the final admission.
  • Lastly, a student identification number will be issued to them. Students can now have access to all the course information and study material through the LMS (Learning Management System).

 

Eligibility Criteria for Online MCA

 

MCA admission criteria adopted by most Indian universities are listed below.

  • Students must be graduates of any discipline. 
  • They should have obtained at least 50% overall marks during their bachelor’s program (47.5% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/Differently abled). 
  • Students who have graduated from courses having no Mathematics background at 10+2 level or graduation level should complete a compulsory bridge course designed by the University. 
  • Similarly, students with no background in computer science at the 10+2 level and/or graduation level have to complete a bridge course in computer related subjects according to the requirements of the University. 

 

Is an Entrance Exam Mandatory for Online MCA?

Most universities do not require an entrance exam/standardized test for online MCA admission. High school and undergraduate degree grades should suffice for admission qualification. However, some universities may require good scores from competitive MCA entrance exams meant for regular on-campus MCA programs.

Enrollment and Payment

    • 10th (SSC) Statement of Marks
